The LAPO Masternodes are necessary to execute the LAPO transaction and to help maintain the LAPO network stable. To run a Masternode you must have 1'000'000 (1 Milion) LAX in your wallet and block them as a Masternode guarantee.
Would you like to set up a Masternode but do not have enough LAX? Keep calm and contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To run a LAPO Masternode you must have a machine with at least the following requirements:
Securing your machine is the most important and delicate part of the process.
Once you have logged in to your machine with root user, you must type the following commands:
If asked always says "Y" / "YES" to the upgrades.
Then wait for 2 to 5 minutes and log back in to your server to continue with the setup. Once the server is back online and you are inside with your root user, type:
useradd -d /home/lapomn -m lapomn
sudo passwd lapomn
When the console will ask you "Enter new UNIX password:" just type the password that you want to use. It is recommended to use a difficult password with at least some numbers, special characters and uppercase.
adduser lapomn admin
Go to the end of the file and in the line "PermitRootLogin yes" change it to "PermitRootLogin no"
Then press CTRL + X and when prompted to save type Y and ENTER.
service sshd restart
Now that the server is secured and the possibility to log in as root has been removed, you must log in to your server using the "lapomn" user (or any other username you have chosen). Once inside the server, type:
chmod +x masternode.sh
When prompted just write the password of your user.
At some point the script will ask you if you want to paste the "Lapo Masternode Private Key" or to leave it blank to generate a new one. If you don't know what this mean just press ENTER so the script will generate a new key for you.
When the script will finish it will write:
PLEASE COPY / PASTE THE FOLLOWING LINE:
mn1 139.00.47.00:31714 3XcwULqSwinbkTT1xfbjFnF5aPzSOmJoh9B5DmFJyknhrUUHs7W < transaction hash > < output id >
Copy that line in your notepad app, we'll need it for the setup of the wallet.
Now we need to setup the wallet. Open it, wait that all the synchronization are done. Check that you have the latest version available on the website. In case not, download it and install it doing first a backup of your wallet.dat (a tutorial is available here: How to backup. the wallet.
The first step is to create the Wallet address we will use to collect the Masternode rewards and where we will block the 1'000'000 LAX. For doing that go on "RECEIVE" and create a wallet named "MASTERNODE".
Then click on "Request payment" and on "Copy address"
Go on "Send" now and paste the address, write the amount of 1000000 and click "SEND"
Go in "Tools" and in "Debug console"
In this console write:
You will see a string like:
Go to the notepad app where you wrote the previous line and complete it adding these two information, the transaction hash (txhash) and the output id (outputidx). Now your line will look like:
mn1 139.00.47.00:31714 3XcwULqSwinbkTT1xfbjFnF5aPzSOmJoh9B5DmFJyknhrUUHs7W 1dd920aba87e23ce1583922876662815a0a5632ec90333896c88dc0068c5d401 1
You can close the debug console now
We're almost done! Now go on "Tools" and then "Open Masternode Configuration file"
If you're running under Windows system you need to tell to open it with "Notepad".
If you're running under MAC system maybe you need to click on "Tools" and then "Show automatic backups" and then clicking on the "Show element as a three" you will see the file, just open it with TextEdit.
After the Masternode configuration file is open just copy - paste the string you prepared before in your notepad.
Save it and re-start your wallet.
When the wallet finished to synchronize everything go on "Masternodes" tabs and you will see a list like:
Just click on "Start all" button and your MASTERNODE will start running!
